Eat Your Cake will enable professionals at corporates to work three days a week, while sharing the role with another person who works the remainder of the week. Corporates can retain high value professional staff who would otherwise leave, and the job-sharers can have their cake AND eat it. We will help the corporates to create two job-shares and then place a job-sharer from our database with their existing employee who wants to work three days a week. In the long run, corporates should be able to see higher numbers of females in their senior management by enabling this flexible arrangement for a number of years when it’s really needed. Job-sharing is not just for women. Men are also very welcome as job-sharers at Eat Your Cake.

How will Eat Your Cake work with corporates?
  • We will ensure that we fully understand your culture when putting forth candidates as job-sharers. We will also understand the motivations, personality and working style of your employee to find the best possible fit.
  • We will craft two roles from the current full-time role and gain agreement on the new roles from the line manager of the job-sharers.
  • The next step is to present several candidates from the Eat Your Cake database for your employee and their line manager to meet and then select the right person.
  • We provide advice on how to make the job-share function with maximum success.
  • We follow up with your job-sharers and their line manager in the first three months of the job-share to keep it on track.
  • Our fees are 30% of the placed job-sharer’s first year remuneration.
  • We can also offer a consulting and advisory service to transfer the know-how of successful job-sharing to your HR teams and line managers, without supplying external candidates.
